Greenberg Traurig’s Mathew S. Rosengart to Speak at Tulane Entertainment and Sports Law Conference
Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholder Mathew S. Rosengart will speak at Tulane Law School’s sixth annual Entertainment and Sports Law Conference in New Orleans March 3. The conference “brings together influential lawyers and executives in entertainment and sports to discuss the dynamics reshaping their industries.”
Rosengart’s panel, titled “Entertainment & Sports Stars: High Profile Legal and Business Issues in Context,” will cover pressing legal and business issues including high profile entertainment litigation, representing major professional sports franchises, radio productions by major artists, book deals, and helping A-list stars navigate their careers, according to the conference website.
Other conference panelists include Michele Roberts, former executive director, National Basketball Players Association; Vicky Neumeyer, general counsel, New Orleans Pelicans and New Orleans Saints; Dan Scharf, global head of business affairs, Amazon; Breard Snellings, director of regulatory operations, DraftKings, Inc.; and Kevin Yorn, founding partner of the Yorn Levine law firm.
A former federal prosecutor, Rosengart recently received the Praeses Elit Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Law Society of Trinity College, one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious institutions. The Beverly Hills Bar Association bestowed him its “Excellence in Advocacy Award” for case successes resulting from expert legal skills, presented to him by retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice David Souter, for whom Rosengart clerked on the Supreme Court of New Hampshire and who lauded Rosengart’s intellect, instinct, and personal integrity.
