SRLA Honors Sports Law Professors at Annual Conference

The Sports and Recreation Law Association (SRLA) held a successful annual conference last month in Philadelphia before more than a hundred members.

As its tradition, SRLA made several award presentations, the most prominent of which where the Betty van der Smissen Leadership Award to Professor John Grady of the University of South Carolina and the Herb Appenzeller Sport and Recreation Law Association Honor Award to Professor Sarah Young of Indiana University. In addition, the association also presented the Lori K. Miller Sport and Recreation Law Association Young Professional Award to Professor Andrew Goldsmith of Troy University, the SRLA Best Paper Award to Professor Mark Conrad of Fordham University, the JLAS Best Paper Award Professor to John Holden of Oklahoma State University, and the Bernard Patrick Maloy Graduate Student Research Award to Sarah Brown of Texas A&M University. In addition, the gavel for president was passed from Young to Professor Sungho Cho of Bowling Green State University.
