Jackson Lewis Attorneys to Address How California’s Employment Laws Impact Sports Industry on November 12

The Association of Corporate Counsel (Southern California) and Jackson Lewis P.C. will host a complimentary webinar on November 12, from 10 to 11 a.m. PST, that will address how California’s employment laws impact sports industry.

Headlining the panel are Gregg E. Clifton and Adam Y. Siegel, of firm Jackson Lewis P.C.

Gregg Clifton

Clifton bases in Phoenix and serves as the firm’s P.C. and co-chair of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Industry Practice Group. Siegel is a principal in the firm’s Los Angeles, California, office. His practice focuses on employment litigation, as well as on advising employers regarding daily workplace issues (and, often, how those issues interact with sports).

Some of the other issues that will be addressed during the webinar include: the state’s current guidance on COVID-19 shutdown orders, racial injustice, expansion of allowances for independent contractors (AB 2257) and the on-going debate surrounding name, image and likeness (NIL) issues.
