Dr. Susan Foster Retires in Style, with a Tribute from the Bucs
Dr. Susan Foster, a long-time sports law professor at Saint Leo University, has retired from the Florida school.
As a tribute, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers presented her with a game ball of sorts, inspiring her to comment that “it has been a pleasure working with the Bucs on behalf of our students. Thank you to the entire organization and our alums working there.”
Dr. Foster was the founding Chair of the Department of Sport Business at St. Leo.
She co-authored Experiential Learning in Sport Management: Internships and Beyond and ten textbook chapters. Her legal research and presentations focus on the Fair Labor Standards Act and its application to internships. Her articles on legal issues have appeared in multiple publications, including many of Hackney Publications’ periodicals.
Dr. Foster said her sporting career was highlighted when she was selected to represent the United States as an official at the Barcelona Paralympics.
