WSFS Bank and Philadelphia Union Announce Naming Rights Partnership
WSFS Bank, the primary subsidiary of WSFS Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: WSFS), announced an extension of its naming rights partnership with the Philadelphia Union for the WSFS Bank Sportsplex, a sports and recreation complex located adjacent to Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania. The facility will continue to operate under the WSFS Bank Sportsplex name through the 2030-31 MLS season.
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with the Philadelphia Union and support a facility that serves athletes, families and community organizations throughout the region,” said Justin Dunn, chief community impact officer at WSFS Bank.
“The extension of WSFS Bank’s naming rights reflects our ongoing partnership and support for the facility and its role in serving the Philadelphia Union and the surrounding community,” said Charlie Slonaker, chief revenue officer of the Philadelphia Union.
Since opening in July 2025, the $100 million, 170,000-square-foot sports and recreation complex has hosted soccer-related activities and events. In addition to serving as a training and competition venue for the Philadelphia Union, Union II and Union Academy, the facility has hosted the United States men’s and women’s national teams, Ivory Coast’s FIFA World Cup 2026 team, Ecuador, Chelsea FC and Arsenal FC.
The WSFS Bank Sportsplex has also hosted more than 1,000 events, including Union II matches, sports tournaments, practices, graduations and community programs. According to the organizations, those events have drawn more than 700,000 visitors.
The Philadelphia Union and WSFS Bank said more than 365 hours of field and facility time have been donated annually to local organizations, and they plan to continue those efforts.
The extension also continues WSFS Bank’s designation as the official bank and wealth partner of the Philadelphia Union and includes related marketing, game-day and community initiatives.
The organizations said additional improvements are planned for the facility. Keystone Outdoor Living will lead a renovation that includes upgraded seating, lounge areas and a bar. The project is intended to expand the venue’s event-hosting capabilities.
