Sports Lawyer Aalok Sharma Appointed as Chair of Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Workforce Management Policy Committee
Stinson LLP Partner Aalok Sharma has been appointed to serve as chair of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Workforce Management Policy Committee.
As chair of this committee, Sharma will lead Chamber members, policy staff and stakeholders in advocating for policies that support a thriving business environment in Minnesota. The committee will also focus on addressing critical workplace issues and promoting effective strategies for economic prosperity.
Sharma’s appointment underscores his pragmatic approach to business. He has extensive experience in litigation and regulatory matters, serving clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies across diverse industries, including gaming, sports, hospitality, construction, finance, health care, retail and manufacturing. He also counsels clients on matters relating to the future of sports, including esports, sports technology, legalized sports wagering and integrity.
In addition to his legal work, Sharma is active in his community. He recently participated in Leadership Minnesota, a Minnesota Chamber of Commerce six-month program that works to broaden its members’ networks, their understanding of the statewide business landscape and the political climate that influences it. Sharma is the former chair of the Minnesota Twins Community Fund, and is also the former chair of the Sports Division of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Entertainment and Sports.
