Pierson Ferdinand Strengthens Sports Practice
Pierson Ferdinand LLP (PierFerd) has announced the appointment of sports lawyer Sekou Campbell as a Partner in its Global Media, Entertainment, and Sports Practice.
Campbell brings extensive experience in representing intellectual creatives – particularly those operating at the intersection of technology and traditional entertainment – to PierFerd. Previously a professional actor, the attorney “combines his passion for the arts with deep corporate expertise and a unique understanding of the needs of creative enterprises,” according to the firm.
He arrives at PierFerd after five years at CM Law PPLC (formerly Culhane Meadows).
Campbell has advised commercial litigants and intellectual creatives in a range of disputes including copyright infringements; record deals; film adaption agreements; multi-million-dollar asset purchases; and other transactions – “helping established and emerging talents ensure their best interests are protected.”
Campbell is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He will join PierFerd’s Corporate Department, working across several practice areas including Global Media, Entertainment & Sport – bolstered in recent months by prominent hires including Steven S. Sidman, Denise Stevens, David Chidekel, Alison Finley, and Mackenzie Welch.
He holds a J.D. in Intellectual Property & Constitutional Law from the Cardozo School of Law in New York; an M.F.A in Theater from Columbia University; and a BSc in Human & Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University.
