Columbia University School of Professional Studies to Host Sports Management Conference on October 18

Columbia University invites sports industry leaders, thought-makers, and disruptors along with Columbia University Sports Management Master’s Program faculty as they discuss critical topics in the business of sports today and in the future at an Oct. 18 conference at the Faculty House (116th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and Morningside Drive) at the school.

The keynote speaker will be Katherine Carter, Chief Revenue Officer, LA 2028 and Chief Executive Officer, U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Properties. Carter has blazed trails during her 30-year career in sports, leading successful organizations, developing and implementing commercial strategies and challenging the status quo across the sports industry. In her current role, Kathy oversees all revenue and marketing functions for Team USA and the LA 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games including sponsorship sales, consumer products, brand marketing, hospitality, ticketing and events. She joined the organization in October 2018.
